Plain-English terms for backing a creator milestone on Covalt Social.
1. Who we are
Covalt Social is a creator storefront operated by Covalt. Payments, verification of released rewards and payouts are handled by Covalt (covaltpay.com). By using this site you also agree to Covalt's own terms.
2. Locking a reward
When you back a challenge you lock an amount against a specific milestone and deadline. The amount stays yours until the milestone is verified as reached. Nothing is charged as a fee if the milestone is not reached.
3. Verification
Progress is read from the platform's public number on a timed schedule, or recorded as a manual check. Every progress figure on the site states which it was, along with the time it was taken. Where a platform is marked coming soon, challenges on it cannot be backed with money.
4. If the target isn't hit
Nothing moves. Your locked amount is returned to you in full once the deadline passes. No outcome, no fee.
5. Creator payouts
When a verified counter crosses the target, the reward is released and the creator claims it with a one-time PIN. Payout timing, rails and destination currency are decided by Covalt. A creator must complete payout setup before a reward can be claimed.
6. Fair use
Do not attempt to manipulate a counter, create challenges you do not have the right to create, or impersonate a creator. We may cancel a challenge and return locked amounts where we reasonably believe a number has been manipulated or the terms have been broken.
7. Availability and changes
The service is provided as-is and may change or be interrupted. We may update these terms; the version shown here is the current one and applies to challenges created after it is published.
